Drajver Dlya Lpt Porta Windows 7

1 Jan 2000admin

2014-07-30 23:04 UTC Hi, Our desktop (Windows 7) does not have an inbuilt LPT port. So, we recently installed a new PCIe card and the driver. The PCIe card is shown in the Windows Device Manager as LPT3, but not listed in the Presentation port devices.

I tried to add it as adviced in some other thread in this forum - I added LPT3 port and its address and address2 (I used the addresses from Device Manager Properties of LPT3). However, when I add it as input port and test, it shows the error message that the parallel port device driver could not be loaded. I checked the BIOS to see if the port is activated or not, but the BIOS only shows USB and no reference to parallel ports - which is enabled.

There is also an option called SuperIO in BIOS (as it appears for COM 0 ports) which is not enabled. I need some suggestions to understand what is causing the problem and how can we solve. Let me know if you need more information from me. Archana Peter Pebler. 2014-07-31 23:19 UTC Thanks Peter. Try downloading the 'Windows XP SP 3/Vista SP 1/7/8.x 64 (64 bit only)' version of Presentation again. I tried and this doesn't work either.

I still get the same error during installation. Should I try with some other Parallel Port Card, e.g. Quatech PCMCIA? Thanks very much for your suggestions.

Archana Mark Hechim. 2014-09-02 11:32 UTC There have been a number of users with similar issues, and we have yet to be able to replicate it here, making troubleshooting difficult. I will now give you experimental instructions which I can make no claims about other than that they didn't wreck my machine. Devcon is a Microsoft utility for installing drivers. It is a simple thing which doesn't give very informative errors and apparently fails if anything is off about your system.

Here, someone suggests that a required registry entry might be missing:. To check that, run regedit.exe. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Wow6432Node Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion. Is there a 'RunOnce' folder item there? If not, then right click 'CurrentVersion', click 'New', then 'Key', and name it 'RunOnce'. Try running nbs_inst.exe as Administrator again. Another suggestion I found here: suggests a way to bypass devcon altogether.
